There is a series of physical, mental and emotional changes before the onset of menopause. There is no handbook in the market by which you will know that you are approaching menopause. As perimenopause begins each woman undergoes these changes specific to her body nature. An overview of the signs of menopause are as follows.
The ages between 42 and 56 are the most common ages for menopause to occur. The women tend to lose their fertility; will stop menstruating and these changes are indeed unique as she moves post childbearing phase. The menopausal stage does not mean that you are growing old. The positive side to it is that life can now be lived to the fullest without worries.
Stages of Menopause
There are three stages to menopause. The common belief is that during this stage conceiving is difficult.Conceiving is difficult during this stage is the common belief. Though there is ovulation it is irregular and eggs are released.On average a woman lives in this stage for 5 years but there are reports that sometimes women experience this stage for 15 years too.The major symptoms associated with perimenopause are hot flashes, night sweats and irritation.
There is no menstruation during this second stage. The signs of menopause are headaches, hot flashes and mood swings.
Hot flashes and night sweats will be absent. Several other diseases like osteoporosis, heart diseases and UTI will occur during this stage.
